Vernon Lions football is just 7 Friday nights away!! The 2024 season opens with the Lions on the road in Burkburnett on Aug. 30. After that, the Lions will play 6 of their remaining 9 regular-season games in the jungle they call home -- Leo Brittain Field at Lion Stadium.
This Monday, Reserve Seat Season Tickets for those 6 home games go on sale to Lions fans who purchased reserve seats last year. Those fans have until July 25 to reclaim their seats. Reserve seat season tickets go on sale to the general public on July 29.
Tickets can be purchased at the Vernon ISD Administrative Center. A reserve seat pack for the 6-game home season is $36. Please pay by check or cash.
Vernon ISD's in-person student registration/enrollment for the 2024-25 school year is scheduled for Monday, July 29. This year in-person registration/enrollment will be held at a different location than in previous years. Parents/guardians will need to go to the Vernon Elementary School between the hours of 7 a.m. to noon, and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., on July 29 to register/enroll their child if they have not done so online. Students register if they were attending VISD schools on the last day of 2023-24. Students enroll if they finished last year at another school district.
Campers had a great time at the Lions & Lady Lions Basketball Camp that was held the last week of June at D.O. Fulton Gym. Coach Robinson and Coach Wynn thanked all campers for attending and their parents for bringing the youngsters to camp. The coaches also appreciate and wanted to thank Toby Kitchens and Texas Farm Bureau Insurance for sponsoring the camp.

Registration for the Lion Football Camp begins today!! The camp will be held July 22-24 at Leo Brittain Field at Lion Stadium. Camp will be held from 9:30 a.m. to Noon and is open to all incoming kindergarten thru 9th grade athletes. Camp drills will improve footwork, hand-eye coordination, throwing/catching mechanics, proper running techniques for football and other sports. Sign-up at the fieldhouse Door G-1, from 10 a.m. to Noon on July 8-11 and July 15-18!

Vernon ISD has temporarily closed online registration and enrollment for the 2024-25 school year due to policy changes being imposed by the State of Texas. There will be a form added to the packet, and the "2025 Chromebook Acceptable Use & Protection Agreement" has changed. If you have already completed online registration or enrollment, you will need to go back and fill that form out again once online registration/enrollment is reopened.
